Welcome to Fridget Jones – Where ingredients meet inspiration!

Hi! I’m Holly, the food fanatic behind the recipes you’ll find here. Living and working in the bustling city of London, I’ve spent the last 4.5 years navigating the world of food marketing. In that time, I’ve worked on everything from cookbooks and food products to TV shows to restaurants. I love what I do but when it’s time to unwind, you’ll find me in the kitchen, indulging my passion for turning forgotten ingredients into delicious dishes.

Why Fridget Jones?

Fridget Jones was born, in part, out of my stubborn reluctance to go food shopping every time I wanted to cook something tasty. I’ve spent years figuring out how to use up nearly-forgotten vegetables, jars, and tins in the back of my fridge and cupboards – and all in a bid to avoid the shops! 

Over the years this has saved me a lot of time and money, but in recent years my motivation has been fuelled by an even stronger desire to reduce my food waste. With over ⅓ of all the food we produce going to waste and a planet suffering at the hands of our wastefulness, I knew something had to be done. My solution? Fridget Jones. This blog is my answer to the age-old question: 

What can I cook with the ingredients in my fridge?

Well, a lot, probably. And I’m going to help.
